POHA-SUJI VADA RECIPE
Bacha hua poha ya thoda boring suji aur dahi? Don’t worry! Aaj hum bana rahe hain ek tiffin-friendly, non-fried snack – Poha Vada 😋
Yeh vada bahut light hota hai, aur aloo aur suji ka combo use super soft bana deta hai. Perfect hai school tiffin, evening snack ya dahi ke saath enjoy karne ke liye.
Ingredients (8–10 mini vadas ke liye)
½ cup poha (flattened rice)
½ cup curd (dahi – slightly sour works best)
¼ cup suji (semolina)
1 medium boiled potato (mashed)
2 tbsp chopped vegetables (like carrot, onion, capsicum – optional)
½ tsp salt (ya taste ke hisaab se)
½ tsp red chilli powder
¼ tsp chaat masala
Instructions – Step by Step
1️⃣ Poha Soak Karo
Poha ko wash karke 5–7 minutes ke liye bhigo do. Uske baad lightly mash kar lo.
2️⃣ Sab Mix Karo
Ek mixing bowl mein:
Soaked poha
Mashed aloo
Suji
Dahi
Optional veggies
Salt, red chilli powder, chaat masala
Sabko ache se mix karo taaki ek soft dough ban jaye. Agar zyada sticky lage, thoda suji aur daal do.
3️⃣ Shape the Vadas
Haath thoda gila karke chhoti chhoti tikki ya vada shape mein bana lo. Zyada mota na ho.
4️⃣ Cook Karo
Non-stick tawa ya kadhai mein thoda sa tel garam karo.
Ab vadas ko medium flame pe dono taraf se golden brown hone tak shallow fry karo.
Aap chahein toh low flame pe slow cook bhi kar sakte ho taaki andar tak properly pak jayein.
Serve It Like This:
Dahi + chutney ke saath
Tiffin box mein ketchup ya curd dip ke saath
Choti si salad ke saath plate decorate karo
Tips:
Aloo helps bind the mixture naturally – no need for maida
Suji makes them crispy from outside, soft from inside
Dahi thoda khatta ho toh flavour aur acha aata hai!
